This work is a re-creation of my digital drawing in oil paint. This work captures the lack of affection and the absence of the real me which started to be lost since my childhood as chasing superficial beauty standards. No one said anything about my appearance, but the lack and insufficiency in myself were enough to gently and steadily gnaw at me. But, I found that when I make works, I become honest with myself and pour everything I have into the works.

I visualize narratives emerging from my pain and the works resulting from this process comfort me. I tried to offer viewers of my work a glimpse at how my work gives me comfort and ultimately they can sympathize with me, connecting the narratives in my work with their experience.
