I Borrowed Beauties from the Animals
I expressed people's interest and absence in beauty in modern society, connecting the characteristic parts of animals and a part of the body. For example, I filled the nose of the rhino with the shape of a human nose I desire, the feathers of a peacock with large and beautiful eyes, and the legs, poses, and the rich and harmonious color of a swan with the absence of which I feel. The limited and unconstrained arrangement and the grouped animals seem to express my endless greed, desire, and strong thirst. I am designing one more work related to textiles by working on patterning this work.
II Borrowed Beauties from the Animals
The tendency to decorate only the appearance by paying attention to others' views is expressed with flowers, and the mold that rots inside the intestines implies my pain and the inner beauty that I missed. Therefore, the various colors used for the fungus are similar to the colors of flowers. These organs give me the feeling of love and hate: the brain which makes you worry about the gaze and evaluation of others, the stomach which symbolizes eating disorders that make you eat food like your stomach will burst and fall into depression and despair, and fat cells which means the obsession with being skinny.
